Can You Take Protein Powder On a Plane?

Do you often find yourself packing your gym bag and realize you forgot your protein powder? If you’re like most health-conscious individuals, then you probably make sure to have your protein powder with you wherever you go. But what about when you’re traveling? Can you take protein powder on a plane?

The answer is yes, you can take protein powder on a plane! However, there are a few things to keep in mind when packing your protein powder for a flight.

First, you’ll want to make sure your protein powder is in a container that is TSA-approved. This means that the container must be able to be sealed and must be under 3.4 ounces. If your protein powder comes in a larger container, you can simply transfer it to a smaller, TSA-approved container before packing it in your bag.

Second, you’ll want to be mindful of the type of protein powder you’re packing. If you’re packing a powder that contains whey protein, you’ll want to make sure it’s packed in a leak-proof container. This is because whey protein can spoil if it comes into contact with oxygen. So, if you’re using a shaker bottle to mix your protein powder with water or milk, make sure the lid is on tight and that there are no leaks.

If you’re packing a plant-based protein powder, you don’t need to worry about it spoiling. However, you may want to pack it in a dark-colored container to prevent the powder from lightening in color.

Finally, when packing your protein powder on a plane, be sure to keep it in your carry-on bag. This way, if your checked bag gets lost, you’ll still have your protein powder with you.

Now that you know you can take protein powder on a plane, there’s no excuse not to stay on track with your fitness goals while traveling!
